Our son is here! Josiah Lee Webb was born June 20th, 2007 at 3:55 pm. He weighs 8 lbs 6 oz and measured 20 inches long. Mom did great and big sister Isabella loves her baby brother. Here's a ridiculously cute picture of them.

We are extremely excited about all the changes going on, Josiah being the biggest of these changes. Beginning in July I'll be moving to Virginia to search for a permanent place for us to live. Sascha and the kids will move up at the beginning of August.
Another picture for you enjoyment.

Big News

We're sitting here watching a horribly acted movie reacting from time to time at Josiah's attempt to leave his mother's womb through the belly button. It's an interesting thing. There are bigger things to write about, though. After a long time of unrest...years of waiting and hurting and growing deeper in Christ, God is bringing us to a place of rest. Not necessarily a place of comfortability, but a place where Sascha and I can rest in knowing we are exactly where God has prepared us to be.
Starting in July, I will be the Worship Pastor ofDulles Community Church in South Riding, Virginia. That's right...Virginia...right outside our nation's capitol. Throughout this whole process, both sides have felt overwhelmingly that this was God's plan. It is a great church. This past Sunday, I had the opportunity to share the stage with the current Worship Pastors, Andy and Lesa Brown, who are leaving at the end of June to serve in Kenya. They're great people and I am thrilled to have their blessing in taking on this new position. The Pastor and staff are incredible people and I can't wait to do life with them.
Sascha and I would love to hear from those of you in Dallas before we leave town.
Oh...and be looking for pictures of Josiah coming...we expect him any day now.

So, my good friend Joel just had his third daughter. I know God has a sense of humor. He's going to be a great with all of them, I just feel sorry for the boys that will come around. While his dauther, Elaine was entering this world, I had the privledge of filling in for him at a great event called Turning Hearts. I had a great time playing with his band who includes one of my dearest friends.
This dear friend, Stephen Boutwell, is having his baby, Bishop Anthony, on wednesday. He, too will be a great dad. I hope they have a girl next. He'd be great with one of each.
This Friday, my wife will graduate with her MASTER's degree from Southerstern Baptist Theological Seminary in Marriage and Family Counseling. It's cause she's awesome. She is an incredible woman and I couldn't be prouder of her.
AND here in a few weeks, we will welcome out son into the world. His name is Josiah Lee and from the action in the womb, he's going to be an active one. This is an answer to prayer. If you look at old posts, you can find the struggles we've been through not only to have kids, but with life in general.
Another answer to prayer is that of a home. Sascha and I will be moving out of Texas shortly after the baby is here. It's not definite so I won't put details yet.
After a few years of waiting on Christ, He is bringing us to a place of rest. Not literal rest, but just a place of peace in the center of His will. Even now, He is providing in the midst of unsure job situations. I'll post more details when I know.

weird things

So lately I've been all business. Shows and shallow tidbits about life here and there. But thanks to Brandi tagging me, I am going to write 6 weird things about myself. I will also post this on Myspace. I must say...I've never been tagged before. Does this mean I'm 'it'?
1) I snore like a chainsaw. You might be thinking that this is not weird. I snore so loudly that I have a: woken myself up wondering who the loud snorer was...seriously, b: caused one of my dearest friends to stand over me with a pillow in one hand and his fist cocked in the other ready to do me in...(he refrained) and c: been forced to sleep in another room before my wife has a test or something else which requires her full attention. It's really bad. I am a snorer. I wear the strips on my nose and everything...it's not helping...
2) I can't get enough of Iron Chef America. I mean...how awesome do these guys have to be to still be frying stuff up with one minute left on the clock. The people are atheletes. I'd like to see Tony Romo do that...he'd probably drop the pan then sit down and cry about it. But I'm not bitter or anything. But yeah...anything on the food network that involves food, time limits, and Mo Rocca is pretty cool with me.
3) I have more shoes than any woman my wife has ever met. This is what she tells me. She is right. I really like shoes. Deisel, Steve Madden, Birkenstocks, Roots, there are more. The sheer fact that I know the names of the brands on my shoes makes me quite metro. But I won't moisturize...I refuse.
4) I can throw my clothes on the floor, not take a shower for a 24 hour period, and have my car smell like week old frnech fries. But heaven help you if there are dirt dishes in the sink. I don't know why I love doing dishes. Maybe it's the challenge of packing as many dishes into the dishwasher as I can and then having them ALL come out clean. and DON"T put my nice knives in the dishwasher. You better hand wash those mofos...fo sho.
5) I am a firm believer that if you add the phrase "oh girl" to the end of any song, it could be a hit. I'd have to sing it for you to really get the effect. but anything. such as, " Twinkle, Twinkle, Little star, how I wonder what you are...oh girl" see what I mean.
6) mmmm pudding. ( as in " I was putting on my shoes")

so there. There are more, but you do'nt want to hear about the boogers in the morning. It's gross.
I am tagging Chris Clayton, General Boutwell, and Beth if so inclinced.
word,
jon

KLTY

Things are rolling around here.  Exciting things.  Good things.  Things that I cannot take credit for at ALL.  Since I started down this road of recording and leading people to Christ, God has provided every step of the way.  He provided the talent and finances to record this record
From Watermark appearing on a song to mixing being way better then it should have been.  There are so many stories of things falling right into place.  Many of you have been a big part of that and Sascha and I are so grateful.  Once again, God has ordained some great things to get the message of this record into lives that need it.

Here in a couple of weeks, KLTY, the number 1 Christian radio station in the country will be playing the song, You Are, one time on their new show, New Song Cafe between 11 and midnight on February 4th.  You can help in a couple of ways.  First off, listen to it on 94.9 KLTY if you're in Dallas or online at KLTY.com  Then let them know you listened, liked the song, and want to hear it again.  You can do that by calling them at 214-787-1949 ~or~ 866-562-1949 after the songs airs.  You can also email them at onair@klty.com

We are extremely excited about this opportunity.  Yet we continue to trust Christ for everything and proclaim the message of reconciliation He has entrusted to those of us who believe.  There's nothing greater than belonging to Christ and experiencing the joy and peace found in proclaiming His glory.  That sounds so ministerial, but it's really coming from the overflow of who He is in me.  For real.  Love you all.
